Hi all! I just got engaged a few weeks ago and we are planning for a November 6th wedding. I need help with wording for the invitations.
My mother and her new husband are paying for our venue and photographer, my fiance's mother (recently widowed) is paying for the flowers and we are paying for everthing else. Do we put their names on the invitations or is "together with their parents" acceptable (but really it's only our mothers....)? I'm really confused! Here's what I have started with, please critique.
Together with their parents
Bride's full name
and
Groom's full name
request the pleasure of your company
at the celebration of their union
Sunday, the sixth of November
Two thousand and eleven
Three thirty in the afternoon
Venue Name
Address
City and State
Reception to follow
Another question, if we address invitations to adults, and don't include their child(ren)'s name(s), will they get the hint that it is a "no children" wedding and reception?
Married my better half on 11/6/2011.
