On Friday we visited our venue, signed the contract and gave a deposit. We also found out that there will be renovations done, namely to add an elevator to the 2nd floor where the bathrooms are located, and they will be adding aesthetic appeal to the outside. Tell me what you think of our menu.
Cocktail hour will include a punch (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and an international buffet which includes:
Smoked salmon
Assorted cold cuts
Cold shrimps on pyramid
Poached salmon medallions
Hummus
Fattouche
Bruschetta with crackers
Assorted cheeses
Baguette
Flambéed shrimps
Deep fried calamari
Tortellini rosé
Chicken souvlaki
Pineapple chicken
Mini quiches
Spicy chicken wings
Soup: Minestron
Pasta: Meat ravioli
Salad: Ceasar
Main: Filet mignon with Greek potatoes and asparagus
Sweet table:
Mirrors of fruits
Mini French pastries
Greek pastries
Candy Station
Hot pizza
Panini
Do you think it's too much? I've been to 2 receptions at the venue where we are having ours. One had the same cocktail food that we are having, the other had hot/cold hors d'oeuvrs and the international buffet had such an impact on the entire feeling of the party, I found the guests mingeled a lot more than they did at the reception with hot/cold hors d'ouevrs.
Ok, I'm rambeling now. Sorry!
