Hey girls, Pepsi Refresh Project is giving out $1.3 million in grant money this month to a number of organizations. One of the organizations is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which is very close to my heart. They are in the running for $250K and are currently in 5th place. The top 2 finishers in their category each get $250K. Voting ends on Thursday.
Basically, CFF wants to use the money to fund a study on hypertonic saline in infants. Hypertonic saline is basically concentrated salt water. We know it works in adults to prevent infection, but we need a study for babies too.
