Haku Lei Hairstyle

Hi to all you hair gurus! 

I'm wondering what a nice updo is that will match/mesh well with a Hawaiian Haku Lei (Head Lei--usually small white flowers).  I wasn't sure where to post this question, Hawaii weddings or Hair; I'm new to the Knot thing but really wanted to throw this question out there. My mom's family is Japanese from Hawaii for 5 generations and my FI is Irish and we're in Rochester, NY so I wanted to add some of my backround to the wedding......any help greatly appreciated!  All the pics I can find so far are of hair down and I'd really like an updo.

I personally like braided hairstyles to detail an updo, and I think it adds a more earthy feel to an uptight updo, especially since you want a flower lei around your head/in your hair.

In general though, I would suggest staying away from anything too stuffy-looking or too big on the top. It may look like your hair and the haku lei are competeing for each other that way, and it may not look good.
