Centerpiece Update- not so perfect vacation

So... It was a great attempt to do wedding stuff while I was home for the holidays with FI. It was not how I picutred it. A lot more stress and tears and I never quite got my mom on board with about half of the design ideas.

But- I am so grateful it was my family b/c I could cry/stress/and talk it out and I knew at the end of the day we all love each other and will appologize. FI seemed to enjoy most of the trip (besides me stressing).

Got the vintage post cards, dropped off the assembled boxes/card box and half got the escort card frame together. Ordered the cake.

So centerpieces are still up in the air (I love the colorful vintage bottles- Mom is on the fence) but deep breath and take 45, right?

Deep breath, relax, realize you will still be married at the end of the day, and that your mom had her wedding already so now you get to do what you want =]

I agree with PP, it is your wedding so you get to decide how it is decorated, except if your mom is paying then she does have a say...

Ah- it's a strange thing. Normally my mom and I have almost the exact same taste in most everything... we share clothes and shoes and jewelry and everything.

And yes FI and I are paying for the decorations so we will decide what we want but I do love my mom and want her to be bought in as much as possible. So I am hoping that we can find something that everyone likes. She's not being unreasonable I'm just not used to dissagreeing with her.

It's funny how when you are trying to find something "simple" that it's just not that simple.
