I mentioned a couple weeks ago that FI had gotten his GM presents in the mail. He got customized Louisville Sluggers for all his GM's/BM, as well as one for himself and my father. Then, he got one for me, and it's pink and has my soon to be new name on it!

Also, our GM who also happens to be a professional photographer took our engagement pictures on Saturday. He spent all day editing them yesterday and he's already finished them for us! He's tossing the disc with all the pictures on it in the mail today, so we should have them tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. They're only coming from an hour away. So expect a facebook explosion from me in a few days. There will be no sneak peek, it'll be full force picture sharing.

We had a really busy weekend (As I mentioned in the weekend thread) We had our engagement photos taken on Sat and then dress shopping on Sunday.

I still haven't picked THE DRESS just yet... although I have a bunch of strong possibilities. I am going to one more store this week and then it's decision time! And I'll finally have my mom with me to see the ones I really like so she can help me make a decision.  I am finding this really hard, so I am very envious of you ladies who have already chosen your dress!!

I am a week late on this one, but I finally completed my bachelors degree. I graduated on October 6th and am so glad to be done! Now I can concentrate more on wedding planning.

Dion, I agonized over buying a dress for like a month. It was terrible and I never want to do it again. Good luck, haha. 

Congrats Lady!! What a huge accomplishment. I'm also jealous. I have nine more credits for grad school and I'm ready to shoot myself in the eye I'm so ready to be finished.

How did you ever choose? The dresses I like are all very different styles so it's not like I can weed any out easily. I really like all the ones I've narrowed it down to (I'm hesitant to say I LOVE any of them) but for the most part I'd be happy in any of them.... I just can't choose.

My problem really stemmed from going to a bridal expo last January and falling in love with a dress knowing I wasn't going shopping until July. So I thought about that one dress for seven months and it horribly clouded my vision. After seven appointments at five different stores I was wiped out and had it narrowed down to that dress and one other. The agony causing dress was over budget and I'd have to buy the sample. The other was in budget and I could buy new. It came down to price and ease of train removal, honestly. If the agony dress had been in budget I probably would have bought it the second I put it on, but I can't justify going into debt for a dress I'll only wear for eight hours. And now when I go back and look at the pictures, the one I bought is honestly much more flattering. 

I'd suggest taking pictures of each dress from multiple angles and taking a week or two to look them over and see which styles flatter you most and maybe work from there. Also, since your mom is going with you this next time around, that'll help. My mom was pretty vocal about what looked good and what didn't and that was a big help for me. It gets confusing seeing yourself in so much white over and over. 

The day I made my choice, I called one of my BM's to rush over the store and see both dresses. She hadn't seen any of the dresses I'd tried on and I hadn't even showed her any pictures of what I might like, so she came in not knowing what to expect. Her unbiased opinion was great. I let her tell me her thoughts before telling her any of my thoughts about the dresses.

Congrats Lady!!! That is awesome!!
I picked up my dress on Thursday and it looked amazing with my tiara. I also took shoes the same height and color as the ones FI wants to get me and the only alterations I have to get is a bustle!! My dress fits me perfectly!!! It took all my strength not to tell FI all about it. Thank God my niece is keeping it at her house for me, otherwise, I would end up showing FI. I am so bad at secrets.
