[QUOTE]Well, I JUST quit my job! Technically, I gave them one week's notice. The job I have been interviewing for offered me the salary I requested, AND they have health benefits (something I wasn't sure about), AND I get two weeks vacation, AND they are closed for a week at the end of summer and between Xmas and New Years. I am so, so, so excited. I have so much to do to get my sh!t before leaving this job, but there is finally an end in sight.  Now that I can finally stop stressing, I can start looking for a car, start going to the gym again, and relaxing in the evenings (instead of crying). Whew!

<div>It's my #1 dream trip and I can't even believe we're actually going (and so soon!)! I could talk about it all. day. long. </div><div>
</div><div>We booked everything through South African Airways Vacations. My coworker used them for her honeymoon last October and said everything was perfect. They handle all flights, all transfers, and accommodations.</div><div>
</div><div>We're spending 4 nights in Cape Town. While we're there, we're taking a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula (Seal Island, Chapman's Peak, Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope, Boulder's Beach, and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens), cage-diving with Great White sharks (<a href="http://www.sharkdivingunlimited.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">click</a>), and going to the cheetah outreach (<a href="http://www.cheetah.co.za/activities.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">click</a>) where we can pet baby and adult cheetahs. </div><div>
</div><div>Then we fly to Kruger National Park and we're staying in this which is pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen:</div><div><a href="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/images/store/7/6/d7e42dca-1a14-4384-a66b-8945ae48a976.large.jpg" title="Click to view a larger photo" class="PhotoLink"> <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/images/store/7/6/d7e42dca-1a14-4384-a66b-8945ae48a976.medium.jpg" alt="" /></a>

</div><div>Hope you've been working on your tan! Haha. That tent-y thing is amazing. Absolutely beautiful. I think I'd have a hard time getting out of the bath. </div><div>
</div><div>And all the animals! You're going to have to take a ton of pictures. I just went to the San Diego zoo for the first time last year and saw animals I'd never seen before (elephants, giraffes, hippos, etc.). I love animals but am pretty sheltered when it comes to exotics. I think that's why I like the idea of SA/Africa so much. Cape Town fascinates me. And fuzzy cheetah babies! Ohmygoodness. I'm seething with jealousy a little bit over here.</div><div>
</div><div>Do you go right after the wedding? Or do you have a few days gap? Are we going to have to wait like.. 3 weeks for any wedding/SA pictures at all? I'll be anxiously awaiting the update with them, haha!</div><div>

<div>I absolutely LOVE zoos. We went to Berlin a few years ago and made it a point to go to their zoo. San Diego is on my list of places to visit because of their zoo. </div><div>
</div><div>I leave 2 days after the wedding and come back on Wednesday, May 15th. I will probably pop in with pics that day because we get home early in the morning and I'm going to need to keep myself awake for the rest of the day with the time difference and all.</div><div>
</div><div>I just texted FI to tell him that we'll be in Cape Town at this moment in 2 weeks. I can't believe how soon it is! </div>

Wow! All this sounds so amazing! I would love to pet the baby cheetahs and watch all the animals roam around! I visited the San Diego zoo last summer and I absolutely loved it! I think my favorite was the tigers.
  • rdr:  your HM sounds so fantastic.  I AM SUPER JEALOUS.

I thought that I had until tonight to take my ACCT test, but yesterday morning I found out it closed Monday at 3pm.  I hadn't studied since Saturday, but I raced up there on my lunch and took the test.  I didn't feel that confident, but I ended up getting 148.5 / 150!  So guess who is making chocolate chip cookies to celebrate?  this girl!!
  • Congrats Hummingbird!

I am actually excited about work tonight because I get to work with some of my favorite coworkers.  I wasn't excited about work at all yesterday, but I feel good about today.  Then again, I don't have to close so I'm really excited about that.   I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself next week because I have Wednesday through the following Monday off of work.  Maybe I can convince BF to go to the Science Center and Natural History Museum on Wednesday.
