Hi!

I'm working-ish today. Block exams are next week, so the students are hiding in their study rooms, not needing much attention from me. Ctaching up on some grad school scheduling/advising paperwork though, so i don't mind.

H and I are going to The Night Circus Gala in Lexington next weekend, and I've been working on a costume in my spare time, hoping to finish it this weeked. H has decided his cravat and vest, and maybe his jacket, need altering, so I'll be playing seamstress for both of us this evening.

tricia, are you getting married in Cincinnati? H and I have friends that live there.

Good Morning!!  I am up trying to finish planning our honeymoon....talk about last minute planning...we leave in 30 days!!  FI isn't helping at all and it is making me crazy.  He says he will do whatever I wanna do while we are in NOLA.  While I like that he trusts me to totally plan it, I am also nervous because I want him to enjoy himself also.

I know how that goes. I was a teensy bit worried through most of the things we did on our honeymoon because, while H enjoyed them, they weren't really "his" things, you know? It was so relieveing to be walking around Fort Sumter and hear H say to himself, "This is cool!"

I am glad that your hubby enjoyed himself!  I love New Orleans and LOVE going on tours and looking at all the old buildings and learning all the history.  He is not like that at all....lol so I know that we will be spending some time in the casino....just hopefully not much cause I don't like to gamble.  If it were up to me we would not step foot inside the casino.  I would much rather spend our time in the French Quarter.

Cool! H has family in La Grange. We got to Lexington pretty often, but I've only been to Louisville twice. I'm a bad Kentuckian.

Nothing is going on here today. I kind of wanted to go to the store, but I have no motivation. It's rainy, and that makes me want to just stay inside.

Today I'm going to get my hair cut - probably just a trim, I want it to be long enough to go up for the wedding, but I also need my bangs out of my eyes now. So I'll probably just get it thinned out and take half an inch off the length.
Apparently we're supposed to get a snow storm here tonight. Blah. Even though it's beautiful outside and 6 degrees (Celsius).

It is based on the book! The author will be there and there will be costume contests, tarot readers, circus performers, hor d'voures, and bourbon. There's also a steampunk author and costume contest, but I'm not as interested in all that. I'm so excited I can't stand it.

Have a great time in NOLA.  See some jazz and eat some great food.  I miss it but will be back in 4 weeks
I am tired.  I had a bad call night last night.  Got a call at 2 am about a transfer patient then couldn't go back to sleep right away.  He got here at 5 and then I got up to go see him which started my day.  My parent are coming to visit today so I hope I can stay awake.

It's a book that I never would have picked on my own, but my book club was reading it, and I loved it. It was just so well written...

Now I'm jealous. You'd better have an amazing time!

Afternoon everyone! 

Addie I'm jealous of your rain.  I can't stay inside when there is rain, because there are far too many lonely puddles out there that need jumping in.  My H thinks it's cute that I still jump in puddles, I think he doesn't understand what serious business puddles are.  They MUST be addressed!

I'm very excited today because I just booked a cabin in Glenn's Ferry for two weekends from now.  My H and I  are going to go to a poultry show in a town several hours away, and we're stopping over to tour a winery, hot springs, and maybe do some hiking.  Heaven!
