reading or reciting?

Hello all,

Can you tell me if you are writing your own vows, will you be reading them or memorizing them? Im not usre how I feel other then Im afraid if I decide to memorize them, I may be so nervous and forget something so important. ( everything will be important) Im also not sure it is good to read! Id want to look into his eyes when I vow to him.

You feedback/experience would be great!!!!

I am going to memorize them but still have them written down so I could look down from time to time incase i have a brain fart

haha! Brain fart!!!! Yes...we brides must avoid brain fart! No very romantic!

My pastor wouldn't actually allow us to recite anything from memory (she said there was one too many times people had forgotten in the middle of the ceremony since it is such a whirl-wind). Our choices were either having her feed us the vows (if they were short) or reading them off. Personally, with everything else on my mind that day, I'm glad I didn't try to memorize mine!

I read mine from a piece of paper.   There was no way I was going to be able to memorize them.
