What is on your to-do list in January?

I know we're all at different stages of planning so I think it'd be fun to see what's on everyone's plates.

Congratulations to all the January 2013 brides. I can't wait to hear all about your weddings.

Re: What is on your to-do list in January?

  • Once our final numbers come in - RSVP's are due January 7 I only have some last minute stuff to get done:

    Menu Cards
    Table Numbers
    Programs
    Escort Cards
    Favors
    Make all final payments

  • With our wedding coming up in March, I feel like I have SO much to do and so little time! Here are a few things
    1. Put together invitiations and mail them asap
    2. Mail rehearsal invites later in the month
    3. Contact ceremony musician to finalize song selection
    4. Finalize ceremony programs so all we need to do is print
    5. Finish up gifts for wedding party, parents, and groom
    6. Choose music for special dances (first dance, father/daughter, introductions, etc)

Good luck to everyone!! Can't wait to hear how the December and January weddings go :)

  • We have 105 days left until the wedding!  I did pretty much nothig from Thanksgiving to Christmas, but since Christmas I've gotten a lot done!

We ordered our envelopes for the invitations, so now we just need to print and address the invitations (ideal send date, January 20th)

We need to figure out favors!!! I have NO IDEA!!! Anyone have any ideas??

I have to design the invitation for my shower in March so we can send them in early February... My mother is throwing it for me and she's not as computer / design savvy as I am... ;-)

We need to meet with the bakery and discuss our cake.

We need to meet with the church organist to discuss music (again, drawing a total blank... our songs need to be "religious" music - it's one of the rules of our Catholic church - anyone have any suggestions?)

We need to call and set up a bus or shuttle from the hotel to the church (FH is worried our out of town guests wont be able to navigate Pittsburgh... lol)

We ordered bags for OOT guests, need to print our monogram on circular labels to put on the bags and find something to FILL the bags with (that part doesn't need to be done immediately)

We ordered fabric for table runners, so I have to cut and sew those (also, thank HEAVENS, that doesn't have to be done immediately... Just something I need to get moving on).

    Phew... Lots to do...
