Welcome to the Plus Size Board! Here are a few tips to help make your experience here better!
1) Lurk- Read this, and other forums. Get a feel for the boards before posting. Many people have asked the same questions you may have. Reading the boards will help you answer those questions without even having to ask!
2) Do not ask us to help you win a contest or help fund your wedding. It will not go well. We all paid for/ are paying for our own weddings and so should you. Ask those nearest and dearest to you, not internet strangers.
3) Vendors are not permitted on TK community forums. DO NOT advertise your business here. You will be banned. This includes solicitation of any kind.
4) People on these boards are honest. They will tell you what people at your wedding will really be thinking even if they don't tell you to your face. We do not believe in bad etiquette so we'll let you know if what you plan to do is rude. Don't take it personally.
5) All of the other boards are very welcoming to plus size brides/couples. Our board is not as active as some of the other boards, but there are many of us here who will answer questions when they come up, but you should feel free to spend time in the other topic specific forums.
6) When you "Say yes to your dress", please post a photo in the "Show us your dress" thread at the top of this board. It is very helpful to see real plus size brides in wedding gowns, instead of looking at skinny model photos!
