Does anyone have a recommendation of an officiant to marry us? Our wedding is in Coraopolis, PA. And how much do they usually cost??

I am a few days late on this, but we are using Pam Powers Moore from Sweet Song Ministries. She is traveling and staying for the RD and the Ceremony so we had to pay her travel expenses. She is costing $700. I know it is alot, but we were in a crunch and we would have had to make a $500 donation to the church had we gone that route.

i asked our venue and he said he had no suggestions... weird huh?

and $700 is wayyyy over budget for us!! we were hoping to stay in the $400 range...

We're using Mark from A Simple Vow, but these are some others that we thought about in case he wasn't available that day:

http://www.meaningfulmarriages.com/ -- Rev. Larry Goyda -- $375 + $150 for rehearsal

http://ronaldcambestpittsburghweddingofficiant.homestead.com/services.html -- Ron Cambest -- $220 to $380 depending on ceremony

http://www.myhappyday.net -- a group of officiants! -- $250 to $500

If you get hard up - I'm ordained and have actually performed four weddings. It's not usually my thing to do it for strangers (the four I did were all old sorority sisters), but if you really end up in a bind I would hate to see you not have an officiant!

Pam Powers Moore was only $700 due to the travel expenses because we are getting married over an hour from Pittsburgh...In Blairsville. If you are local, she may not be as expensive.

Another person we looked into was Ron Cambest, however he was also book our day, as was A Simple Vow.

We used Rev. Dr. Renee Waun.  My H & I felt she did a really nice job. In fact a lot of ppl told us at our reception how much they enjoyed our ceremony.  Here is a website I found for her:

Did Lori perform the ceremony herself or did you create the ceremony wording with her then a different person performed the ceremony? I looked in to this company because they are very reasonably priced but I find it weird we deal with Lori then some guy does the ceremony..
