Well. I always am, but especially today. As I've mentioned in previous posts, FI's grandmother is...overbearing. Since this weekend is Mother's Day, she's really laying on the guilt about her son and daughter, FI's dad and aunt, going to church with her.
I.e, 'If you really loved me, you'd do this. I'm old and might not have many Mother's Days left.'
Going with her means both of them will have to miss their own churches on Sunday.
FI and I are going to Mass Saturday night; we get our own church with our own liturgy and our own Eucharist and we still get to make her happy by attending church with her on Sunday.
Never mind the fact that, come Sunday morning, we'll both be on her sh!t list for not taking Communion. It's a sort of win, and I'm taking it!!
I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
