Patio accessories on registry

Would you side eye a few modestly priced pieces of patio furniture on a wedding registry?  These would be a little bit pricier items (over $100) than everything else on the registry, but we do have plenty of items at low and medium price points to accommodate anyone that would like to purchase a gift.  FI and I can't decided if it's ok or if it's a bit weird.

    I think it's perfectly fine...
  • I think its fine. Its for your home. Its not like its a non home item thats pricey. I wouldn't side eye it.

  • Ok!  Thanks.  I figured we were overthinking it.

  • I wouldn't side-eye it, but I wouldn't consider buying it for you either.
  • It's fine... and I get really judgy about what people put on their registries.
  • It's fine. People have to realize that your registry will also be accessed by parents and others that might buy a bigger ticket item (plus people buying group gifts). Just because it's there doesn't mean that you expect everyone to spend that much money.
  • That seems prefectly reasonable to me.  We have:

    board games
    scented candles, battery-operated candles
holiday decor for halloween and christmas
    table linens including holiday linens
    many cookbooks (various ethnicities covered)
tools and storage for repairs, garage
    fireproof safe
    programmable thermostat
    wrapping paper and card sets
    wine sets
    wine/liquor corner shelf unit
    pasta maker
    rice cooker
    tiller for garden
    garden bulbs and tubers
    new shower curtain
    shelves for bathroom (wall shelves)

....I think anything you and your fiance will use to build/maintain a home together is viable.

    Congratulations!
  • It's fine. We acutally gifted one of those outdoor drink bucket and stand things off of a registry this year.
  • I'd rather see patio furnitue on a registry than a 78 inch flat screen TV that costs thousands of dollars, which yes, I have seen before.
