Addressing Invites - Kids

I didn't want to thread jack, but in another thread, someone said if you are inviting someone's kids to address as follows:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Miss Jenny Smith
Master James Smith

Well, that will work for most of the people we're inviting.  However, my cousin has SIX children.  I don't even know that I can fit them all if writing them out!  Do we need to have it printed small so everyone fits? For some reason "Mr. and Mrs. C and Family" feels inappropriate.

TIA!

Re: Addressing Invites - Kids

  • We wrote "and family" for those that had larger families.  On some, I also just wrote the kids' first names.  I actually don't get too hung upon the proper ettiquette on invitation wording. I do write out the names of those that are invited, but don't worry too much about specifics.

I also wanted to give you a thumbs up for inviting kids!  We have have about 80 adults and 30+ kids invited to our wedding.

  • You could also list them without titles under their parents.    This is also where the use of an inner envelope is fantastic.
