Wedding Woes

Been getting crafty

Yesterday I mentioned the clothes pin dolls I made. They're not completed (I need to put the wood finish on and add hair) but here they are 95% completed.

They're dual sided. Each doll is wearing the same outfit front and back but has a different expression.

Re: Been getting crafty

  • I like those.  IDK what the heck I'd ever do with the, but I like them.  Clever.  They remind me of worry dolls.
  • I'm thinking of calling them "Feelings Folk." Since each side has a different expression they can be used to teach feelings, for non-communicative kids to show how they're feeling. And all of the non-detailed sides are painted for color recognition practice.

This is the first set and I'm sending them to a friend of mine who is big into "tot school" and montessori style everything for her toddler (she's a SAHM and does school-ish stuff every day with weekly themes). He's going to be test run. If he likes them I might make a few sets and see what I can do with them on Etsy.

    Those are really, really awesome.
  • If I decide to attempt to sell these I will also do a personalized woodburned box for them.
