Dress Preservation?

Has anyone had their wedding dress preserved? I don't know what to do with my dress and my mother-in-law mentioned having it preserved in a box.  Has anyone done this and if so, who did you use?

I got my dress at DB and had it preserved through them. You could always try asking whoever did your alterations if they do it or if they can recommend someone who can.

I used Wedding Gown Preservation Company. Most dry cleaners ship the dress to their facility, and charge more. They sent me a box and shipping label, I got my dress back about 3 weeks later. I didn't have any stains so I didn't have too much to worry about.
