Affordable, smaller venue for ceremony and reception in Pittsburgh?

Hi!

I'm looking for a venue that is a bit more interesting than your run-of-the-mill ballroom style wedding. I'd like something intimate with a romantic feel in the $5-9k range for approximately 50 people. Phipps would be amazing but is way out of our price range. Hopefully that helps you see the kind of place I'd like though. We're looking to have a Fall 2013 wedding (Sept-2nd week Nov). I'm open to outdoor or indoor, barns, etc. Something elegant but not overly fancy.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks so much! I will definitely check it out. Do you know if it has space for both a ceremony and reception?

Try the Fort Pitt Museum too; they have an outdoor ceremony area in Point State Park that faces the water and is really beautiful. The reception venue I think seats 80-90ish and is mostly outdoors, but they have an indoor backup for rain, and you get the entire museum when you rent. We loved it, but it was a little too small for the size of our wedding. The woman who coordinates it, Joy, is awesome too.
