Vendor Reviews (Long)

I got married on Sunday (5/26) and wanted to share my reviews for all the people planning!

Oronoque Country Club: A++
First off Liz was amazing to work with. She was so accommodating and opened to any suggestions we had. The wait staff were quick to take drink orders, clear food, and keep everything moving. The place was decorated beautifully and the food was amazing. I got so many compliments on how good the food was. I wouldn't change one thing about the reception. I definitely recommend it.

Rosa's Florist Bridgeport: A
Maria was amazing to work with as well. I showed her an inspiration picture and she put together beautiful bouquets based off my pictures. When I first saw my bouquet I cried because of how wonderful it was with my grandmothers charm and everything. The only little snag was the flowers got delivered to the wrong house (were the boys were instead of the girls) but that was an easy fix. I would definitely use Rosa's again.

DJae Melee: A+
Jae was wonderful. He picked good music for dinner and dancing. My moms boyfriend is part of a band and when he walked in and saw Jae he immediately said wow they got a good DJ! Jae had people up and dancing all night long. He played a good balance between country (my fav) and old rock (Husband's fav). He really listened to what we liked and went with it. Also, he was so easy to talk with when we needed to change something like the ring bearer not being introduced and the father of the groom having an escort last minute. I never had a hard time contacting him. He was always messaging me back or willing to Skype. I have already recommended him to a bunch of people who are planning their weddings and will continue to do so.

Brides by Eva: A+
All of the  bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dress, and mother of the bride dress were from Eva's. Eva was wonderful and listened to any critiques on the dresses we had. She fixed them to the way I wanted them and all alterations are included. She even removed this hideous bow from the back of my sisters dress to add a loop hole sash to match the other girls dresses. I have used Eva's a number of times from proms, to my brothers wedding, and now my own wedding. She's wonderful. She does have a limited selection of wedding gowns however, if she carried the designer of my gown I would have definitely ordered through her.

Marie Antoinette: A
My gown was from Marie's and it was beautiful. They were very nice and were willing to work with my crazy work schedule to squeeze in my fittings. Parking is terrible there so that was always a pain. Also, alterations are not included so I ended up paying $200 cash which isn't too bad considering how many alterations they made. Overall, I was pleased with their service and selection of gowns.

Outriggers: A++
We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was amazing. We were in a private room which overlooked the marina. The food was delicious and the wait staff were wonderful. They brought the food in a timely manner and were willing to make adjustments if needed. I would definitely use them again and will continue to go there for a night out with my husband for dinner.

Michael Dzienis Photography: A+
Mike was amazing to work with. He came early to the house to capture the girls getting ready and he stayed with us for almost all of the reception. He was full of wonderful ideas and was opened to suggestions on things I liked from pinterest. He met with us beforehand 2 times and was very professional. I can hardly wait to get all of my pictures. He really listened to us. Definitely look into him! His prices are also amazing!

Bocchino Limo: A+
Sam was right on time and was willing to go wherever we wanted. The weather was a little iffy so we weren't sure if we'd be able to do our outdoor shots or have to go to a backup plan. He was very understanding and go with the flow. The limo was clean and reasonably priced. I was able to get a hold of them ahead of time and they were able to answer any questions I had. Overall, I was very pleased with them!

Alexander's Tuxedos Bridgeport: A+
I didn't want to use men's warehouse because I have heard nightmares and didn't want to deal with any extra stress. We have used Alexanders before for proms and such so we wanted to use them again. Everything was perfect. I went in to order the tuxes have no idea what I wanted. I brought the color swatches from the girls dresses and Doreen was able to help me pick a great tux to match with the girls dresses. Everything fit the guys right and there were absolutely no problems! If you're looking for stress free tux rentals... go here!

Hair & Makeup was done privately so can't really share reviews other than it was amazing!

I think that's about it. Hope everyone fins these helpful!

    Oh I forgot cake!

    Luigi's Trumbull: A+

    We got so many compliments on our chocolate mouse cake. The owner of Luigi's really listened to what we wanted at our consultation and I was extremely happy with how the cake turned out.

    Icing on the Cake: A+
    We got a groom's cake from here for the rehearsal and that as well was delicious. They listened to what I had in mind and everything came out perfectly.

    Glad to hear you had such great experiences with your vendors! If you wouldn't mind sharing, what did you spend on flowers and what did it include. I've heard good things about Rosa's but am wondering what I should budget for this.
