Coffee Drinkers

What type of coffee maker did you register for? Looking for recommendations! Also, has anyone tried Tassimo?
Thanks!

I have a regular Keurig. I would like to upgrade to the one that hold the water eventually.

I registered for the new keurig vue after watching a few youtube videos comparing the keurig and keurig vue. I'm very excited. It has a water reservoir and can make coffee weak or strong and can make frothy drinks!

I'm a *huge* coffee drinker, and love my coffee appliances! Lol ;)

I have the Keurig Special Addition coffee maker & *love-love-love* it! I would highly recommend this! The nice thing about Keurig vs Tassimo, is that you can buy a re-usable filter with Keurig for when you do run out of Kcups, that you can put whatever coffee in you have at home. What's neat about this one is it makes iced & hot coffee, you can set a timer to brew, & it has 3 different cup size settings, etc. Super convenient!

My second recommendation, is definitely the Cuisinart Grind & Brew 10cup coffee maker. It comes brushed stainless steel, and has a built in grinder if you choose to grind beans vs ground coffee. I just got this machine this past Christmas, and it's great! Lots of setting options etc!

I don't drink coffee, but I bought this Cuisinart one for my FI. We had a Keurig before and he hated it. He likes to have more than one cup of coffee without having to brew it again. If you don't want a one cup maker then I would definitely second the recommendation on the Cuisinart Grind and Brew. The stainless steel finish is very nice on it as well.

I totally love our Nespresso! From Crate & Barrel...it's amazing.

I love my french press. After using both a regular coffee maker and a Tassimo, the french press is the way to go.

You all have been so helpful! My FI and I usually use a regular coffee maker but we hardly ever have more than one cup so a lot of the time coffee goes to waste so to avoid that we were considering registering for a Keurig or Tassimo. I never even thought about a French press.

My husband has had two Bodum french presses and has loved both of them.  He thinks french press is the best way to make coffee.  (I wouldn't know since I hate the stuff.)

    Chemex!

Edit: We also have a French press that we like.  We had a Keurig a while ago, and while the convenience was nice, the hot water constantly filtering through the plastic didn't sit well with me.  And Chemex or French press coffee tastes better.

We have a Tassimo and LOVE it. I like it for the milk drinks it will brew (Kurieg can't do steamed milk) and my fiance likes their tea selection. Very convenient as well as he doesn't drink coffee...so I'm not dumping a pot of coffee out...just making a cup for me! My parents have the Kurieg and they really like the large selection of coffee..so it really depends what features you want your coffee maker to have. French press is nice and makes great coffee...but then you have to deal with coffee grinds.

Another vote for the Nespresso! I love mine and it has an additional cup that froths milk for hot or iced drinks.

We have Kuerig, I don't drink coffee, husband does and usually just his morning cup on the way into work so this is perfect for him. We have the one with the water reserve. I do use it for my tea, hot chocolate and even for the k-cup iced teas. I like it because I don't have to wait as long for hot water for my tea with the Kuerig. But I have to admit, I have the old Mr. Coffee machine in the basement in case we ever host an event where it would be better to brew a whole pot instead of individual cups.

I will say, if hubby was a huge, all day long coffee drinker, not sure that this would be very cost effective compared to a regular coffee machine

We have Kuerig now as I am the only in the house who drinks coffee.  I've found I like the coffee selection in K-Cups.  The reusable "My K-Cup" is a joke though.  I could never get my coffee strong enough using it.

MOH registered for the Tassimo and it didn't work out well.  There were issues with their model and it went under recall.  Even with a replacement it didn't work.  Bonus, they received it through BBB so even after a year+ they were allowed to return it for a Kuerig.

So on the lines of the single cup machines.  Pick one to try out, check your stores return policy.  If you find you don't like that particular brand some stores will take it back.
