After almost 7 years of dating, my high school sweetheart and I are engaged!
I had no idea it was coming. I am so happy and still can't stop looking at my finger, almost three weeks later! He sure is lucky that I am oblivious to everything!
It was a sunny (hot and buggy!) afternoon, and I thought I was going on a trail ride with a friend at the barn. She insisted that Billy (my horse) and I lead the way, which was fine by me.
We hardly made our way down the trail and I noticed rose petals on the trail.
My friend was laughing at me and told me to look up.
My fiance was standing there, with a beautiful bouquet pink roses. I knew at that moment exactly what was about to happen.
As he got down on one knee, I almost fell off of Billy as I couldn't get off of him fast enough! After leaving him hanging for a moment (sorry!), I said yes! Billy made the moment sweeter by trying to eat everything and anything in sight.
It was perfect and I couldn't imagine it being done any other way! The amount of thought and effort that went into the planning was more than anything I could have ever imagined!
