What are you doing about the twins?

So, I had my first dress fitting yesterday - thankfully all is coming together and there were no major issues. One thing though: the corset bra I tried on was horrible and stuck out of my dress sides and also make my girls look HUGE (which they need NO help with, and not in a good way). So the consultant ended up talking me into having cups sewed in and going braless.

I have a 32G chest - "braless" is not a term that describes my approach to life, as you can imagine.

I'm scared that when I get the dress back I'm going to feel like they are not secure, or jiggly or something? The plus is that I have a corset back so that helps keep me sucked in. Just curious if there are any other well endowed ladies in our group and what you all are doing?

I am not well endowed... but one of my very good friends has DD on a very tiny frame and she also had cups sewn in. She made sure they were just lining/support cups and not super padded cups that pushed stuff up to your chin.

Did they at least have you try the cups in while wearing the dress? When I went went in for my first fitting they had me stick in the cups and place them where it was comfortable--they then pinned them in place so they could be sewn in.

Bah, nope, she just showed them to me and said they would work in her opinion. The dress fitting was awesome but also chaotic/overwhelming. I have no idea what I'm doing so I just went with whatever she did. I guess we'll see on July 1, but that leaves 11 days to fix it. The girls are more trouble than they are worth honestly. Most times I wish I just had a normal sized chest so this didn't always become a factor in things.

well... im not even endowed, so i will just sit here.. 

(but i have cups sewn.. reallly padded cups, that dont push anything up, because I have nothing to push up)

I'm a 38DDD - my dress isn't a corset and going braless just wasn't an option for me.

I'm d borderline dd depending on the bra, and I had by cups sewn in and I feel pretty secure with the corset back.

@furmama that bra looks really promising, actually - they didn't have my size just looking at the link but maybe I can find it in person somewhere if need be and try it on?

@Britty, tha makes me feel better. As long as I feel secure and they don't look bad, I'm good.

@Crys LOL - trust me, you are not missing on anything but a headache. At least you can "add them" if you want with the padding - there's nothing you can do to take them away!

I had her take my bust in 3 times before I felt safe and secure. The only thing with would ruin my wedding day would be a peep-show. Anything else I can handle and take in stride i think ;-)

I'm 40 DDD, so I feel your pain.

I'm going with a strapless, corsetted bra.  When I tried on the dresses, the bra made me feel SO gorgeous!  The girls were supported (with help from the dress itself), and my the tummy-slimming features of the bra made me feel beautiful!

See, that's what I liked about the corset bra - the tummy slimming part! But it stuck out of the side and it just didn't fit well - I would have to find a perfect one to go that route. I am nervous to see the cups because they looked really small - like a joke.

If they do work though, I might try to find something corset-y to go underneath so that I can get that hold back!

I just have a victoria's secret strapless combined with a corset bra, then some lovely slimming spanx on the bottom. I've felt pretty secure with the combination!

34D here and I wasn't going to wear a bra because my dress holds the girls in pretty well. But then I bought a corset for my boudoir shoot and I love how it slimmed my tummy, so I'll probaly wear it on the wedding day. That is unless I can lose the last few pounds off of my pooch by the wedding day, fingers crossed!

If I wear you I'd shop around for a different bra or corset, there's got to be one you can wear under your dress without it showing.

Thanks, I appreciate all the suggestions! I bought a tummy slimmer type thing (like a corset but without the hooks) yesterday at Nordstrom on my lunch. It was okay - I'm going to try it on with my dress Monday, with the cups sewn in, and go from there. I wish I could have just found a good corset bra but I still have a little time! Sort of...two weekends.

We are getting so close!
