I got my dress last week!!!!  My mom heard my panic and flew in last week so we could go shopping together. I did get it at DB, but it took me 3 trips to really decide on it.  It is gorgeous and I really love it.  This is the gown I got http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_A-Line-Lace-Tank-Gown-with-Beaded-Waist-CWG530_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Designer-Oleg-Cassini and it is perfect for my body shape, and will be great for our outdoor garden wedding   I'm so excited!

I think I might have FOUND my dress on Saturday. If that ends up being the one I'll probably buy it next week.

Getting married the 24th. Bought my dress or atleast had it ordered (still paying it off) on June 1st and it just came in a few weeks ago. The Bridal Shop I ordered it from was having an Early Bird Sale, any brides getting married May 2014 received 20% off!

I have not found my dress, BUT I also haven't gone looking yet. This weekend I am going to look. Getting married May 18th!!

So I went looking 2 Saturdays ago and last Saturday. I found the dress at the very first place but I still went to 7 other places just to be sure.
I found an even prettier dress for less than half the price at David's last Saturday, but it didn't have a train and that's a dealbreaker for me.
So anyways, I'm going to order that first dress of Thursday, which is the soonest my mom and I could set up an appointment for. I'm so excited! http://www.allurebridals.com/products/9068

Wow @shelllillian that is beautiful!!!  I couldn't wear something like that cause I need as close to a real bra as possible due to my overfull chest lol.  But that is gorgeous.  Glad you found your dress!

The picture really doesn't do it justice. It full of beautiful beading and lace. And I got a belt full of blingy crystals for it. Complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. I love it so much!

@FutureMrsN3312 You dress is beautiful! I really like Mori Lee. It wasn't my intention to go out and pick one of her gowns... but it was by far my favorite that I tried on. And weirdly enough that was the designer for my mom's wedding dress a few years ago, AND my sister who is getting married next year bought her dress, and that too happens to be a Mori Lee haha.

Whoa, after reading all of your posts, I realized that I was really behind!  My wedding is May 31, 2014, and I just ordered my dress last Saturday (Nov. 5)!!!  Not to worry, though...it will be in by March, so there will be plenty of time for alterations.  Even though we got engaged in April, I waited so long because I wanted to lose at least 30 lbs...AND I DID!  So, here's hoping I lose another 20-30!  My dress is the Allure 8908...here's the link:  http://www.allurebridals.com/products/8908   The photo DOES NOT do it justice--it's beautiful!

@sara_beth21 Congrats on the weight loss!!! Doesn't it feel good?! I lost 50 over the last year and it's definitely an awesome feeling. And the dress is beautiful!

I'm getting married on May 31, 2014 too and I'm only going shopping this weekend (Nov 9)! I'm so nervous now that it's not going to come on time. We only got engaged in October though...

I'm getting married May 24th and haven't even been dress shopping yet! Of course I've only been engaged for 3 weeks! Not sure when I'll get to go shopping with the holiday's taking up a LOT of my time here's hoping I get lucky and find something I love right away!!

I'm going dress shopping take one on Sunday, wedding date 5/31. My budget will probably translate to off the rack but it's just as well. I tend to think if it doesn't look good when you try it on, it doesn't fit.

Your dresses look amazing ladies!! I feel so behind on selecting my dress seeing as how my wedding date is May 31, 2014!!! Everyone always says I can't believe you don't have your dress yet!! That is the first thing you should do. :-) I am happy to say we have appointments on the 23rd of this month to find the ONE(or the other one)!!!

@Tnt082013 everyone says the opposite to me -- they can't believe I have my dress already! I'm always surprised to hear that because I know that in the wedding world, 5 - 6 months is near when you start to limit your options. But to everyone else, I still have plenty of time! Haha

Well I just went for round one. Went to David's (sadly wasn't blown away despite tons of selections). They kept bringing me taffeta which just seems gross in white. The best we did was this:

I liked the style and fit but there was no omg moment. Price is awesome but in retrospect, even though I didn't give a price range and mentioned I really liked the Vera Wang dresses, the most costly dress the attendant brought out was $500. Not that price = quality but then we went to Alfred Angelo and their gowns just made the samples they brought me at David's look kind of cheap in comparison.
I spent almost 2 hours at Alfred Angelo and I think I am in love with this (though I -never- saw myself as the princess type!):

Fit and style were awesome but all the appliqué kills it for me.
So I don't know. But it was relieving that the attendants all assured me I have plenty of time.

When I went for my dress in February everyone was like you're getting your dress now?!?!?  The wedding isn't for another year plus.  I knew it was something that I needed to order and would take 7 months to come in.  I was fortunate to get my dress at cost.  I didn't want to get into having a rush put on it, rushing the alterations, etc.

I do hear people tell me oh you have time.You will get it done. I feel like time is rushing by and it probably because I am always feeling busy working on this for the wedding, school, work and around the house. 

purplebunnie I love the two from Alfred Angelo the best for sure!! I know the feeling about DB. My first shop I went to was DB and I just feel like they did not bring me anything that I was looking for. They kept going the opposite direction and then they were not looking good on me.

@purplebunnie If you love that dress and had your omg moment in it, I don't think it matters where you're getting married. I'm getting married at a winery and I have a giant lace and tulle ballgown, which is probably way too big and princessy for 35 people, but who cares?!

@purplebunnie I completely agree if you had your OMG moment, that MUST be your gown! And it's beautiful!

It's funny because I didn't really have my OMG moment IN my dress, I had it when my mom was helping me out of it... and I realized I didn't want to take it off, haha.

@kellibastien I was the same way! I was in the dress and kinda like, yeah, okay... I love it more than the others, but I'm not about to cry about it or anything... And then the time came to take it off and I was like, "Can I just have 5 more minutes in it? Please? And can I come visit it later?" Haha
