My daughter's wedding was last month, for which we needed to bring (buy or rent) everything for the reception -- so we bought everything -- more cost effective than renting. Have a couple items left to resell -- would love to find someone in the Pittsburgh area (I live in the South Hills) who might need them for an upcoming wedding!
90 Wine Glasses (for $70) ) - costs only slightly more than renting, but much less after reselling. (If you need more than 90 you can get more of these from a local store.)
Flatware for 108 guests (5 pieces each: Dinner Knives, Dinner Forks, Salad Forks, Dessert Forks, and Teaspoons). Selling all 540 pieces for $250 -- cheaper than renting and really pretty. (If you're having more than 108 guests, you can buy more of these from an online store.)
