As a company we have banned some regular users who we received numerous complaints about. While we want members to share opinions, constant negativity and bullying will not be tolerated.

We received a very large number of complaints over
the past few months about specific users not only through flags, but direct emails and private
messages, about interactions toward other members.
After much review by our staff of posts by these users as well as reports and complaints,
The Knot and its Founder have come to the final decision to remove their membership entirely.
We are working to make this a valuable and supportive
community for all members, new or old. While opinions are more than welcome, brutal/forceful “honesty”
and overall negativity does not fit within the vision for the site nor
is it encouraging informational/supportive conversations.
Please refer to the official TOS on The Knot if there is any
question about permanent banning:
"8. 'Til Death Do Us Part.
While we hope we stay together forever, you agree that,
under certain circumstances and without prior notice, The Knot may terminate
your access to The Knot, including purging your member account and any material
and information associated with your member account (including your user name,
password, registry and profile). Cause for such termination shall include, but
not be limited to, violation of the provisions set forth in section 5 of this
Terms of Use agreement. You acknowledge and agree that all terminations for
cause shall be made in sole discretion of The Knot and that The Knot shall not
be liable to you or any other party for the termination of your access to our
Area or the purging of any material."
