Recently I received a check that was part of a civil suit that I entered into in 2004; since that time I have been divorced and remarried. To cash this check I have to show proof of the divorce and the marriage. I never once thought that I would have my divorce decree and marriage license in the same stack of papers.
Hopefully this will be the first and last time.
It's interesting that when one has moved on, the past finds a way to creep back in for a moment.
All I can say is that I'm much happier now.
