My fiancé really wants a dj, I want a brass band + a reception band. We're talking about splitting the difference & going with a brass band for 2 hours for the 2nd line & 1st half of the reception & then switching over to a DJ. I have nightmares about the funky chicken & YMCA. Can anyone recommend a DJ who plays old school funk, oldies, MJ, etc. (Think DJ Soul Sister for you locals, I'd love her, but know its not really her thing to spin for weddings.) if we're going to go the DJ route I really want to avoid any current pop music. I also don't want someone who does do a lot of talking.
