Budget Wedding DMV

My wedding is not for another 3 years, simply because we have a budget, and we want our wedding fall on a specific Date/Day. So now im just brainstorming and i have my 'wedding planner' book handy (LOL). Im looking for Venues, Photographers/Videographer, Officiants, Caterers, Cakes, Dresses, Tuxs,Transportation, etc. Our budget is $8000. So if Anybody from DC, MD, VA had/having a wedding (on a budget) and got som great deals, please post the company including their website. Thank You

Depending on your guest list size, our venue may work, depending where you'll travel.
We are getting married at Bull Run Golf Club in Haymarket, VA. Catering is included in the price. Rental is $2500 +$500 is you do your ceremony there as well (at least when we booked). http://www.bullruncc.com/banquets.html

You will have a tough time with photographers in your budget. In this area they tend to start around $2500-3000.

Our officiant is Diane Stanley. She is doing a secular ceremony for us and her price is $50 + travel (Fed mileage rate/mile from her home in Herndon). She doesnt have a site but is on TheKnot, I believe.

Or if you want something super simple, even a bridesmaids dress in white. http://www.prettyentertaining.com/  I think always has the most comprehensive list of trunk shows and sample sales for good deals. Call the bridal shop ahead of time and ask about their price ranges.

Look for photographers that are newer (but still have portfolios to show that they are good) or that have recently moved (so experienced, but still trying to get their name in this area so may be cheaper). The ones that I knew of probably have raised their prices by now.
