So we got our marriage license a little while ago and I'm only now wondering what exactly do I need to do when I go to change my last name?
I figure we will have our officiant turn the official license in (unless he doesn't do that, then we will the day after we get back from the honeymoon). The clerks office gave us this whole packet of stuff to read over but nothing I've found said what to bring to where. I googled it so I know I need ot hit the social security office and the DMV.
They gave us a 'customer copy' of the license. The guy said we had to fill out both of them. Do we turn in the official copy and take the customer copy to the social security office and then over to the DMV? Are there any other locations we need to go when I change my last name?
