November 2013 Weddings

November 9th wedding...favor ideas?

I am having trouble thinking of Favor ideas...I looked around on the favor board but wasn't to impressed with what I saw. What are some favors that ya'll have really liked or are doing?

The closer we get the more I think of that I need to do.

Re: November 9th wedding...favor ideas?

  • We are having a photobooth and the pictures will act as favors. Honestly, I would so much rather have pictures to take home than knicknacks.

We are doing mini macaroons. I was thinking that more food or something sweet is nice. I liked the last wedding I attended that had a candy bar.
  • We are doing a candy bar and having mason jars which will also stand as escort cards also.

  • i was doing caramel apples but it was going to be too much to do! so we are having BBQ at the reception so we are going to have mason jars of BBQ sauce as favors for guests take home
  • We were going to do wine stoppers and bottle openers but the designs we found were kind of tacky so we decided to change it up and do either jars of peach jam or jars of honey. We are also having mini bubbles for the kids that will be there plus anyone else who would like one. Those are mainly for the send off anyways.
  • We are giving half-pint jars of homemade strawberry balsamic jam. There's a label that says "Spread the Love" along with our names and wedding date, lace and ribbon topper on the jar. These will be on a table that has a pennant banner that also says "Spread the Love." For our younger guests, we have blank cards/envelopes with boxes of crayons and a sign that asks them to create a card for us. Not really a party favor, but something to keep little hands busy.
  • Anything edible is always good.  We're just keeping it simple and doing colored, chocolate rocks (fancy M&M's really) in 4oz, antique, glass jars of all shapes. They'll have rustic tag tied around them with our initials, the date, and "thank you."
  • I always thought that customized USB flash drives are neat.  You can have them monogramed and put a few songs taht the two of you love on them.  Then if they want the music they download it and then they can use the flash drive for work or school.

  • I dont think im going to do favors. I am going to send out Thank You cards though.

  • I'm getting married the same day:) we are doing chocolate covered green apples that I'm making myself..
  • We are also doing the photobooth as a favor.  The escort cards will be frames that fit the photo strips.
  • So many of your ideas sound so yummy! We're doing a photo booth as well, and potted succulents in mercury glass that will also serve as the escort cards. They look kinda like this:

  • we were going to to the caramel apple dip but it would be too time consuming, so we are now going to give out mason jars of my step dads home made bbq sauce since we are serving his bbq at the reception.
  • our wedding is fall themed, so for the favors I am doing a 2inch by 2 inch box with Maple candies in them, and a note on the top that says "Fall in love...we did"  and our names and wedding date also.
  • I really like this list - lots of good ideas:

  • @dramamonkey...that link was helpful for figuring out how to finish my ceremony programs. There was a tutorial for sketchbooks that helped me figure out how to "bind" my programs.I have been trying to figure out a good way to do that. Thank You!
