My fiancé decided to be extra creative last night, by not being creative. HA! We've already been talking about it. We knew from the day we met and the 12 hour conversation we had that was never anything less than deep, that we were going to spend our lives together. He has also learned that I don't do so well with receiving gifts or compliments... I'm just weird! So, we were sitting in silence while my son was falling asleep. Talking about everything. And here is how the conversation panned out:
"So, do you think you could spend your life with me?"
"You already know the answer to that."
"No, really, Will you spend your life with me?"
"Wait... your serious?"
"Yes"
I instantly knew my answer, but just to add to the intimacy of the moment, I waited a few seconds to answer. BUT, then I said.... "Yes"
So excited! He didn't have the ring because he knew it meant more to me without it. I didn't spend the next two hours feeling awkward about this expensive thing on my finger. I spent it basking in the life I'm going to spend with my new fiancé.
