Had my hair trial today... a friend of mine is doing my hair and my BM/MOB hair the day of so we were messing around today!  So excited!

I'm not doing a trial first but from trying different looks at home, I've decided that wearing mine up just makes me look too matronly.  I'm doing a half up half down, similar to this. But with no hair piece.

Oh good heavens no!!!  I tried a couple of general updo-ish style things just to see if the general look was good (namely several variations the braid thing like you have in yours. It was bad, very very bad on me! It made me look like I was trying way too hard to look younger.)  but that's it.  That's just a random picture of what I want.   I'm a 43 year old, 5'9 red head. Not a darling, petite early 20 something Asian girl.  LOL

Your hair looks great!! I wish I could settle on an updo style but I always tend to lean more towards half up half down. I had my hair trial about a couple months ago and this is what it will look like:
