Officiant Legality

Hi! 

We are getting married outdoors and having a friend marry us. I was wondering how I ensure that the marriage will be legal if she get ordained on the internet.  Who would I call or talk to about that?

We live in Illinois, but will be married in Wisconsin

Any advice would be wonderful, thank you!

    Check out the laws on marriage for the state in which you'll be marrying. See what their requirements are. Then checkout whatever online program she's using to get ordained and see if they match up. It might not hurt for you to call up the county clerk and ask.
