All moved in!

FINALLY. The moving truck came yesterday morning and we got everything over to the new house within a few hours. We have the living room and the kitchen set up but the rest of the house is a complete mess. The stress of unpacking, organizing, and settling in has hit me! Not to mention I have to remove wallpaper in three rooms and do a LOT of painting...

For some insane reason the previous owners thought it'd be a good idea to wallpaper the entire kitchen with speckled yellow wallpaper with a pillsbury dough boy border...yes you read that right. Pillsbury dough boy. UGH. I started to remove it today...it's going to be a long process. But with all that aside...yay, we're moved in! We're homeowners!

HAHA...my house was covered in wall to wall carpeting when I bought it, including the kitchen and the bathroom (ew). When I pulled it up in the kitchen there were actually a couple layers of carpet, one of them being a very 60s/70s brick-pattern. It's amazing what people do to their homes.

That is the best border ever! (and by best I mean worst of course!) We had tons and tons of wallpaper in our house too and it was terrible to get off- so so so worth it though! We also had terrible carpet everywhere but were so excited to find lovely hard woods underneath! It  really is crazy what people do to their homes.

The previous owner of our home was also so nice to leave us all the extra wallpaper- not neccessary lady, first thing we did was remove it all!! She also came back this summer and asked for her window boxes back since we hadn't had a chance to plant them- thinking she meant the boxes themselves I said ok- next thing I knew she whipped out a screw driver and was taking the brackets off of the house! What a nut! I was so shocked I couldn't even think of what to say to stop her!

Congrats!  Great job at having 2 rooms set up already!

And that is the worst border I've ever seen.  Hilarious!

I hate carpeting!  The last two (admittedly crappy) apartments I've had have had carpeting and it's always the cheap kind.  Yuck.  When I buy a house, I'll be ripping out any carpeting that exists.
