good reasonably priced photographer

I am looking for a good photographer that is reasonably priced.  Does anyone have any suggestions??  Thank you.

    I found that a lot of photographers are willing to create packages that work within your budget...even those with advertized prices that are higher.  I called and emailed a lot of folks.  I'd be clear about your budget and what you're wanting out of it...you'll find someone willing to work with that.  We first narrowed it down to folks that had work we liked and then made the contacts.  We used Jake Holt.  I've only seen our teasers so far, but we're really pleased.  I think his pricing was very fair and he's awesome.  We booked LONG before our Oct. 25th wedding.  I don't know how much his pricing has changed since then.  When I was shopping around, I also found that the girls at Whitney Lee were really reasonable.  For what it's worth, I was planning a Sunday wedding...I think I had an advantage with pricing on a lot of things.  Good luck!

    I live in NY and picked J. Mark Photography via the internet, a video conference (thought it was cool they offered that since that is how I communicate with my guy finishing up at West Point), phone calls and my parents meeting with them. I flew in this weekend to to a first pass at venues (I am not getting married until Dec. next year but I am just not feeling the venue thing yet!) and met with the photographers.  I could not be more pleased. 2 photographers, photographer actually does it full time and not a side job. Great samples, funny, but most important - I "clicked" with them. 7 hours, 2 photographers (not just an assistant), one goes with groom the other with bride, album, and DVD of all pic's with a release and signed an agreeemnent for $2,100 which was 400 less than my budget! Glass Fountain, photographer and dress are the only things decided but I am loving my choices so far and so is my budget!

    AbsolutelyAmy- I just checked out her blog and I LOVE Kristi Wright's photography. Any idea what her pricing is like? I am considering contacting her but I always feel guilty when I do and then turn people down, haha.

    Whitney Lee did my 9.12 wedding. She's made DH and I feel comfortable the second we met her and has some creative and kooky ideas that are sure to result in some unique pics.

    Kelsey, I honestly do not know what her pricing is...but I think she is just starting her own photog biz, so I'm assuming that her prices will be very reasonable.And on a personal note, she is an absolute sweetheart and has been so lovely to work with.  I would just go ahead and contact her and ask her pricing.  Tell her I said hello if you do!!

    We are using Kathy Howerton. She is located in Salado (45 miles north of Austin) She does a great job, she is full of energy! We were going to use AJH from Austin, but we had a bad experience with him. This past weekend we took our engagement photos and she took a ton. I think we changed 6 times! Her photos online are not as modern, but she will shot your photos in whatever style you like! And her pricing is amazing. We told her what we wanted and she gave us a great price! www.Justthewayyouare.net

    I love Vignette Photography.  Elizabeth and James are a husband and wife team, two professional photographers for the price of one.  Their rates start at $1700 and go up from there.  I wrote a vendor reviews last week on this board.  www.vignettephoto.com.Good luck!Lori

    I used Ben Godkin Photography for both my engagement and wedding pics. He did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend him! He's one of the featured photographers here on The Knot. Check him out!
