A lot of our wedding vendors were from Bloomington and my brother is pulling off a very budget friendly wedding in bloomington this fall.  Just curious, what is your budget?? I know a ton about different vendors and they all fall in different price ranges. Here are some vendors you should  check out:

    Photogs-
Beyond the Well (bloomington) we used them, love them!

Jammi Photography (Bloom.) my bro is using them
    www.jammiphotography.com

    Schilling Photog (peoria)
I think their website is www.schillingphotography.com

    For the ceremony/reception:

    Mackinaw Valley Vineyards

    Davis Lodge at Lake Bloomington

    Bloomington center for performing arts

    wildlife prairie park in peoria

     Caterers
    The catering company in mackinaw

    Cakes
Susans Specialty Cakes in Fairbury (she made our cakes, and they were delicious and very cheap!! Love her!)

Hope this gives you a place to start. I didn't list websites for everyone, but I think they alll have websites. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! I have a lot more info and vendors that I didn't want to bombard you with. Good luck!

I found a wonderful lady to design our invites plus inserts for FREE!!!  All we have to pay for is the paper and ink.  Her design work is amazing and will work with you very closely to get your dream wedding invites, she is trying to tap into the bridal side of invite making so she would love to help brides and by doing so her name gets out there.  Let me know if you want me to send over her info to you.

Steve Sparrow does catering - we paid abotu $2000 for 200 people, some kids' meals and breakfast for the morning after. He also supplied bartenders and servers for us...he's super duper nice and I can't recommend him enough!

my old bio has other vendors I used - the cakes were from Urbana and the photog was from Chicago, though. hth

snellis- my brother booked the catering company for his wedding. He and his FI really liked them just from the tasting. He had heard good things about them from other people, that's how they found out about them. HTH!

Kam's Sugar Art in Bloomington is pretty reasonable when it comes to cakes/cupcakes.

If you aren't planning on having any alcohol at the reception, the Miller Park Pavilion in Bloomington is beautiful, and can be rented for the whole day for $700 or so. I think you can get any caterer you want there too.
