Quick Intro and question

Hi all, my name is Mel and I am helping my brother and soon to be SIL plan their wedding - they are both in the military and are stationed in Germany right now. They'll be coming home in June for the wedding.
I'm looking for flowers. The wedding will be extreamly small (think 30ish people) and our budget is even smaller so my mom and I wanted to DIY the flowers - where should I start? I called a wholesaler but they won't sell to me and I don't want your standard grocery store flowers. And recs?

Have you tried Costco or Sam's Club? Or soon the Farmer's Market will be starting as well...you could try to pick some up there if there is one that day?

There's a shop in Sacramento that will help you DIY -- classes and such. They also have various packages the you can get with varying degrees of help from them....

Wait I know a florist that will do flowers to fit your budget (seriously she will cost you the same as DIY or very close). She works out of her home but has years of experience and I love working with her. PM me if you want her info and you can email her with all the questions you have, she is great at getting back quickly.
