What to have thrown after reception?

One of my friends is getting married in July and is trying to figure out what to have guests throw when they leave the reception. The reception site does not allow birdseed, rice, or rose petals. She doesn't want do bubbles since they don't show well in pictures. Is anyone doing anything different than that? Thanks!

Usually in our area, if things are "thrown" it is after the ceremony, not the reception. By the time the reception is over, many guests have left, and it's very anti-climactic as well.

I vote for not throwing anything. Just have the guests clap and cheer. It's free, eco-friendly, and not lame.

I actually have seen some great pictures of bubble exits. Like pp said I also think sparklers photograph nicely.

I believe there is confetti that disolves in water...but that only works if its outside :-)
