My father who I was very close to died some years ago and my uncle stepped in and have been there for me for the past 8 years. He's giving me away, but I need a song for us to dance to. He likes R&B but he adores jazz. If someone can please help me. Thank you.

What about "What a Wonderful World" by Louie Armstrong? It's jazz, soulful, and is bittersweet - that he's been part of your 'wonderful world' without playing a song that's too father/daughter. I think it's really appropriate and sweet!

My dad and I are dancing to Otis Redding's "Stand By Me" which would work for your situation as well. I like it because it's not too slow.

I'm in the same boat. I have to find 3 songs and 2 have to be a song that anyone can dance to cos it will be during the course of the night just for them. i have no idea what I'm going to do but I have time. What did you end up going with?
