My idea would be a costume party where everyone came as gangsters and flapper girls...or a varying degree the fashion of those times.

Dress the part: zoot suits, fedoras, beading, long pearl necklaces! You could have your table numbers be 20's gangsters, there's a list of them in the website below. Play jazz and music of the 20's, at least during dinner or cocktail hour.
