are extreme side parts trendy?

I am sitting in panera, and 2 teenagers just walked in with their hair parted about an inch above their left ear, then combed over to the right side.

They put significant effort into this - there is a lot of product there. And they are wearing full makeup and otherwise seem fashion-aware.

A little Bieber-esque, too, now that I think of it. But the Beebs ditched that style months ago. And this was girls, so I wasn't sure if that was cool or not.

Yup it's trendy. But an inch above the ear is more extreme than I've been seeing it. And yup Justin Bieber looks like a lesbian lately. Poor kid.
