Oh man, don't pay money for this, it isn't hard to change your name.

Start at either the DMV or SS office, either one is fine now because the DMV looks up your SSN electronically.  If you're changing your name at work you'll need to do that as well. Then go through your wallet and get all new credit/debit cards. With all of my credit cards, I just had to call up and request a new card, they didn't need a copy of the marriage certificate, but the bank did need that for my checking account.
I've kept my name on random bills like the cable bill because it just doesn't matter that much.

Not sure if you have a passport or not, but if you do and it was just issued in the last year, you can get a new one with your new name for free

this! and if you search on google, it will take you to the links to get the paperwork for DMV and SS, so you can fill it out ahead of time.

Also at the DMV, make sure you bring your car title with you because they will change that along with your registration at the same time.

The bank and passport i did last.  The bank wanted to see my new drivers license as well as the marriage certificate.

I would definitely do the DMV.  Credit cards and those things are easy....I did have to give copies of the marriage certificate for certain credit cards and my investments.
I still have yet to change my name for SS.
