We had tentatively decided to have our rehearsal dinner at the Siesta Beach picnic shelter - VERY casual, BBQ style. Then it got booked - 10 months out!
Does anyone have any ideas for a casual rehearsal dinner? We have 50-60 guests and want to do it for under $2000. So far the restaurants I've checked in the area seem to charge more than that. We were just hoping to have a cookout with lawn games and some beer, nothing fancy. Unfortunately we can't seem to find a venue that will accommodate this on Siesta Key or nearby. My wedding caterer suggested the picnic shelter in Venice, but I really don't want my guests driving 30 minutes and drinking, and I don't have the money to provide transportation.
