saying goodbye to Fi.

Up early to take Fi to work so he can go to Nebraska to fight fire. I haven't been up and out of the house this early in a WHILE...we're at the office waiting on the guys to get here with the Engine they're driving up.

    Oof, that's not fun. FI was a firefighter before he was a cop. I know how much the waiting sucks.

    Yeah HUGE wildfires! I think yesterday it was 28000 acres. He could be gone 2 weeks! They may fly him back if they have to send another crew up when his comes home. 9 guys went with 3 engines from all over GA to Nebraska. He works for Ga but anytime he goes out of state like that its a federal job and after 8 hours today he'll be at 40 and everything after is overtime which he usually doesn't make. He's been on big fires before but never so far away and I'm more worried now than I've ever been. Its so close to the wedding and all..he's going to miss a friends wedding plus our shower! And he'll be sleeping in a tent the whole time he's gone.

    wow! guess I should watch the news occasionally huh! lol must be far away from where I live. That would make me nervous so close to the wedding. hopefully they will get them under control quickly so that he can get back to you! :)
