Ours is coming from Gambino's. We got to taste it recently. OMG soooooooo good! It was fantastic and moist and creamy. We're getting buttercream icing (fondant just doesn't taste as good to us), chocolate buttercream filling on some tiers and raspberry on the middle tier. All the cake is almond flavored. VERY good.

We had tastings with Sweet Impressions, Baum's and Gambino's. This was definitely my favorite part of wedding planning, thus far, btw. All of them were delicious! In the end, we decided to go with Gambino's.

Sweet Impressions has a lot of different types of flavors, if you want something kind of different. I loved their cakes, but my FI and I couldn't agree on the multitude of flavors.

Baum's was delicious, but I wasn't a fan of their chocolate cake or frosting. I loved  their almond cake and buttercream, but didn't want to have to get my wedding cake and groom's cake from 2 separate places.

Gambino's has delicious options for both our wedding and groom's cake, so we ended up going with them. My FI took a couple bites of cake and said, "So, we're going with them, right?" Uh, yeah... :)

We are looking at Gambino's, Baums or Ambrosia.  Something tradition. What kind of cake are you looking for?

We talked to many different bakeries and ended up with Gambinos - They were awesome to work with! I brought in a pictures and voiced what I wanted and it came out perfect! We had butter cream icing and used the candied pearls.  I also got tons of compliments on how delicous the cake was. = )
Here are some pics... we brought them some fake roses and the cake topper and they created the top.

Fairy Dust Cakes is AMAZING!!  They're out of Denham Springs and Kyleen did an absolutely stunning job on my wedding cake and grooms cake.  We got soooo many compliments, on both the style/design and the taste! And...she was cheaper than most of the other places I looked into.  Definitely recommended!  http://fairydustcakes.com/cakes.html

It was a toss up b/w the Cocao Bean and Cake Minded.  My sister ordered a custom cake from Cake Minded for my nephews birthday party.  They make speciality cakes like on Cake Boss.  My first thought was it looks good but I beat it's nasty, lol?  Well let's just say my finance hates cake and even he went back for seconds!  After pricing both bakeries we decide to go with Cake Minded.  They were almost half the price and just as good.

    Here are both the links:

    Good luck!
