Affordable reception sites with a view?

Hi ladies, I am helping my sister plan her wedding from afar.

It will be relatively small (75-80 people) and we have to be budget conscious. Her #1 request is to be able to have pictures taken by the water and to have a "beach feel". We could go with south shore or Cape Cod spots. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

The Beachmoor Inn on Buzzards Bay has a beautiful view and is very affordable if you don't mind a wedding during the day on Saturday or Fri/Sun.

Also, I've never been but I've heard there are some very affordable water view places in Cohasset as well. Good luck!

Aqua Grille in Sandwich - It's a restaurant but they also do weddings

Flying Bridge in Falmouth (that's where I'm getting married!)- RIGHT on the harbor, maybe a 2 min drive to the actual beach

Falmouth Yacht Club- literally right on the beach, they hold the ceremony on the beach as well for no extra fee, which is very nice.

Casino Wharf FX in Falmouth- I've heard good things about this place. I never checked it out because it's too small for my 150-person guest list, but this is RIGHT on the beach as well. Beautiful location!!

Harbour Point in Cummaquid- I checked this place out, and its not really on the water. You can see it way off in the distance in the view from the back windows, but it wasn't on the water enough for me. Definitely budget friendly though!!

    Goodluck :)

I suggest the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth. It is the sister restaurant to The Flying Bridge Restaurant in Falmouth, which is owned by the same people. I had a beachside wedding and then had my reception at the Inn. It is affordable for a Cape wedding. In fact, if you have your reception during the day, there is no room rate, but at night there is a 3,000 dollar room rate. The Coonamessett Inn is located on a main road in Falmouth, but is very private, with a beautiful lake situated in the back. The main function room overlooks this beautiful lake with it's back wall being mostly windows. The staff did such a wonderful job into making my day wonderful not only for me, but for everyone attending. By the way I also recommend The Flying Bridge. We had our rehearsal dinner there and it was so beautiful because the restaurant is right on the harbor. Both were great for me! I hope you find the perfect place :)

the beachmoore is probably perfect for you... and not even over the bridge so easier or guests to travel...
Rita is the owner and used to have a lower shop too so takes real nice care of everything too.  You can probably rent a little house in Onset for the wedding party nearby as well.. It's really such a sweet little venue!

I know the Bournedale Function Facility was already mentioned but I do want to suggest you look there.  I am in the beginning stages of planning my wedding so the  feedback from your posting was helpful for me too.  (So thanks!!)  I recently visisted the BFF and it's a strong contender for my wedding and reception.  Good Luck!!

Thanks for all the suggestions, ladies. I'm 99% sure we are going with the Brookside Club in Bourne. My sister is cool with Sunday afternoon, which cuts the room rate from $2500 to $1000.
