Dj Service Recomendations???

My wedding date is July 2 and I want to book a DJ within the next week or so. I am having a backyard wedding and need recommendations on mobile DJ's. The past few weddings I went to in the area had the same awful DJ. I want to have an amazing Reception but also am working on a tight budget and have no idea what I should be budgeting for the service either. PLEASE HELP! Let me know of great DJ's you've experienced or awful ones I need to stay away from!

Do you remember how much they charged? I have no idea what is normal for pricing I have a $500 rough budget in my head, but I have no idea if this is reasonable? We could go a little higher but not much as our budget is pretty tight. My wedding is at 7:30pm and we'd like to have the reception wrap up about 12-12:30am (since its a backyard wedding) so about 5hrs total and we already rented a dance floor and have lighting so we just need the DJ-ing service.

I think it was right about $500 for 4 hours and then $100 for an hour extra. We had him for 5 hours total. He did our ceremony and reception and had 2 set ups for no extra charge.

main stream music is doing mine. they come highly recommended and i'm paying just about $500 for two locations and 4 hours of coverage
