Balz Reception Hall in GRand Island

Is anyone having there reception here? How was the food? Were they good to work with?

    One of my friend's wedding is next weekend so I can update after that.  I went to an annual meeting there a couple of months ago and the food was a little blah.  I think it went downhill a little since they switched from Whitefoot to in house.  It will be interesting to see how the layout works.

    I thought Balz was very tight and hard to move around in.  The V shaped room was weird because you couldn't see half of the guests.  The chicken was so tough that you couldn't cut it, but the rest of the food was ok.  The bartenders made the drinks very very strong (probably because they were drinking themselves).  The acoustics were not very good - we sat by the bar and couldn't hear the toasts.  For the money that Balz generally charges, you could probably do a lot better.
