Help with a venue

Hello, We are looking for a reasonable venue for NYE 2104 12/31/13. We are located in south jersey and would like to stay in this general area. We are going to have a NYE themed wedding so decor of the venue doesnt really matter as long as it is simple. We are considering having ceremony and recpetion in the same venue if we can do it at a reasonable price. We are looking to keep our entire reception budget to 5000. That should include venue, food and alcohol. Looking to have 100150 people which means... 3050 per person. Please any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

    This may be very hard to accomplish based on your budget.  NYE weddings are going to be charged as if its a Saturday night and/or a major holiday.  You may find that your prices are increased just due to your date, escpecially if you are looking for an evening reception going through midnight.  If you were to have an afternoon wedding/reception, you may be able to better stick to your budget.

    Look into the Moorestown Community Center, Cooper River Boathouse, or Gibson House in Evesham Twp.  The first two have preferred caterers, but I think you can choose your own caterer for Gibson House.  Then you can work with their caterers to stay in budget.  Just remember, that if your event begins during a meal time, you need to serve a full meal.  But if you want to start your ceremony at 8 pm, you could get away with only hosting appetizers & desserts or desserts only.
