Did I mention I got a job?
I am quite ecstatic about this. I live in a small town in MI. It is minimum wage except for the prisons and I am not prison guard material.
I am going back to the state headquarters for the Army National Guard as a civilian contractor. I am taking over the remainder of someone else's contract (he got fired) that runs through March. My bday to be exact.
If there is money in the budget and the Finance Officer decides to renew my contract I will get a renewable 1 year contract. I am happy happy happy. I know this sounds cheese and eye-ball rolly but I have a very strong passion for taking care of Soldiers and I will now be in a position to do that again. The wage is decent and I get to carpool again with my best buddy. Merry Christmas to me!
